If you have issues keeping plants alive no matter what you do; there's a plant for you! The humble Snake Plant; aka Mother In Laws Tongue. This is a great plant that's very low maintenance. This plant needs little light and rarely needs water. You can put it just about anywhere and it will flourish. There's a ton of these on amazon. I went with Hirts because I've never had an issue with them. Plants always come well packaged and healthy. Upon receiving this Snake plant i immediately put it into a self watering planter. One thing to make sure with these plants is that since they need little water, a self watering planter makes sure they get just enough and not too much. These plants need water at most ONCE A MONTH. That's right, once monthly. Anymore than that and they will get mushy and die. Its one of the few sensitivities of this plant. Otherwise you're good to go. Theyre not picky at all. I put in a plant food spike once every 3 months or more and thats all. It thrives and doesn't die.

I was impressed with the size of the snake plant. It's healthy and still going strong. I purchased this plant (along with some other plants from various sellers) to help with my asthma problems in the home. I do notice a difference in the air quality in my room (less sneezing, coughing, airways feeling irritated) I don't know how much of it is owed to the snake plant or the combination, but I will say it was the first large plant I had that helped me noticed a difference. If this one survives a Michigan winter, I'm considering purchasing another one in the spring.

Received A Beautiful Healthy Snake Plant
Pleasantly surprised!!! I have to admit I was a little hesitant to order a houseplant online, especially from a seller on Amazon. The snake plant arrived today. I received a well packed, very healthy looking, nicely developed young snake plant in a 4" pot of soil. They carefully taped around the top of the pot so the soil couldn't fall out during shipping. The soil was moist and rich looking. The plant has 5 or 6 well developed leaves with a center of young, developing new leaves. I couldn't have picked a nicer plant if I had gone to a nursery and picked it out myself. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this seller to anyone who wants to buy a snake plant.

Nice Little Plant for a Good Price
This was sent next day and delivered 4 days all the way to Alaska! Bought this along with the ZZ plant from the same company and both arrived well packaged and undamaged!! It was healthy and green, however, note that you should replant to a bigger pot and add more soil. Bought this plant to put in rooms with little light and need little care...this fit the bill and was not expensive. I would recommend this buying from this company and will likely buy again. It's better than I even hoped for!
I was nervous about ordering online. I use them as home decor and I love and take care of them, so I like to pick them out myself. I wanted a young snake plant but don't have access to a good selection close to where I live. So after reading reviews and looking at customer pictures, I ordered this snake plant. From what I remember arrived fully in tact and almost arrived on the second day after I purchased it. It was a short 5" plant but the stalks were strong and grouped beautifully. I loved it right away. I moved it to a pot of its own after 2 days and watered it once a week from there after. I kept it in my dark bedroom with my blinds and curtains drawn as I work afternoons and sleep during the day. This snake plant has grown at least 2.5"-3" taller, AND it sprouted an entirely new plant!! It has a sproutling! I've been watching the baby for 3 weeks now and it's growing extremely fast as well! In the picture if you look close you can see it. Its even bigger. The size of my pinky finger now! I can't believe this plant has taken off like this. I will be ordering plants from this seller again. Money well spent. I think I purchased this plant in October. I've only had her for 3 months. She's a real beauty!

I was hesitant to buy live plants online, having nightmarish thoughts of all kinds of 'hitchikers' invading my home. However, my plant arrived well packaged, intact, and a lot larger (several leaves) than I expected. I have a lot of plants - all started from cuttings/babies- and for some reason it's difficult to find healthy, well rooted, baby snake plants. They're either huge, tow truck needed to get it home, or just not very healthy and way overpriced. The one I ordered has done very well in the last month growing well next to a 2 year old snake plant. Willl definitely buy from seller again.

Better Than Pictured!
i received two small snake plants instead of one as pictured. So, I repotted both separately. Both received a drop of peppermint oil mixed in a gallon of water (actually by mistake) and both plants produced "babies" within a week or so. I already have five new plants in less than a few weeks! WoW...they loved that tiny drop of peppermint oil, but it started with two very healthy plants received. I have since purchased other plants from Hirt's and all have been highest quality possible via shipping.

I’ve never ordered plants online so i was very skeptical. But it arrived earlier than expected and it was healthy and undamaged. Definitely buy update: it’s been about 2-3 month and this is the only plant that is still alive in my house. I live in a basement and there isn’t much light. I bought a few more low light plants from Home Depot at the same time as this order and the last one of them died last week. I’m ordering more.

My snakes (I accidentally bought 2) came well packaged and healthy looking. They were a really good size for the small planters they were shipped in. The leaves are about 10 inches tall. I planted them in much larger pots and they seem happy. I love them, they are adorable and NASA says they are great at filtering the air in the house so hopefully they’ll help with my allergies. They arrived impossibly fast so don’t even bother checking at Home Depot (my Home Depot didn’t have any snake plants anyways), this is so much easier!
